MICE. EVERYWHERE.

Oh dear oh dear oh dear!
How long it has beeeeen! I am failing pretty badly at the blogging, let's just admit it!
What have you all been doing?! (I know you don't really answer, but I'm getting very excited as my views are now INCREASING. So it's letting me know that there are some people who are stopping by, THANKYOU!)

Maybe I should talk about that more.. yea I think I will:
So I want to take this time to tell you all how excited I am that my views are increasing! (HOW SAD) yes. I guess I thought I was writing and writing and no one was reading, but you gotta write to get views, right? It's true! You can't get views with a blank blog.
So I know I am lacking in followers (by the way, THANKYOU DANNII FOR FOLLOWING!) but I would really love and appreciate if you pop by, have a bit of a read, bla bla bla, and then follow :) Because I would love to see who is reading and also have a look at your blogs to!

So please feel free (I would really appreciate it!) to follow! :)

Yes, where was I? Oh yes.. I was no where. But you are probably wondering what the title to this blog means. (or maybe you're not? I am doing the brackets thing WAY too much!)
WELL, I'm getting a bit freaked out by all this mouse malarky that's going on. Mother just opened the news paper and it was telling a story of some woman who

"spotted a mouse sitting beside the yellow peppers in Tescos..."Now I am sorry, but, what? Like, WHAT? That is disgusting. Why are there mice in Tescos?! ON THE SHELVES?! I read another story this other time, about all these withered up frozen dead mice being found in frozen food, like a bag of frozen chips for example
and the woman,

   "thought it was a chip"EWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!
That is so nasty. Even reading it, imagine if it happened to you though. Seriously - MONG.
It's getting so common, goodness knows when I'll run into a mouse in Tesco.

*shudder*

Speaking of Tescos, I recently took advantage of the Fabulous magazine offer thing that was going on - the Models Own free makeup with Fabulous after you collect 2 tokens and give them into your local Tescos.
So I did so, and I went today to see if I could get my makey uppy (didn't see any mice by the way...)
The woman at the till said they were all finished though. :( Everyone must have been going mad on them! So I'll pop in sometime before the expiry, hopefully, and get it! £20 something worth - WHY NOT!

This has been long, but I'll leave you all in peace now :)
THANKS FOR READING!

Ciao

An evening in with Prada...

So it is Saturday night, the usual "let's go out somewhere for a boogy and a laugh" sort of night. Well not for me sadly as yes, you've guessed it, exams have taken over my life. (I AM SUCH A BORE.) Anyway, everyone's have finished and I have just one more to go, and even though I knew I wouldn't open a book on a Saturday night, I could not afford to get carried away and remember how much I love to socialize and boogy at the weekends (once it starts, there will be no end folks! I need to have my head in some books until my exam date!).
So yes, I stayed in whilst everyone went out, including my siblings. So I was alone.

......*pause for a sympathy "awwww"*.......

Peace and quiet - why not for a change? So I had some tea and a nice bit of buttered to the brim toast, sat on my lovely sofa with a lovely blanket and found that The Devil Wears Prada was on. YAY!
I never realised how easy this film is to watch... if you get me. There are some films that you love, and they're on, and you think sure I'll watch this I love it. Although, you get to the point where you know oh to well what's going to happen so it bores the life out of you. Well, not with The Devil Wears Prada!
There's something so exciting about it. Maybe it's because it's centred around the whole "FASHION. MAGAZINE. JOURNALISM. NEW YORK." kind of lifestyle which let's face it, we all wouldn't mind a slice of in the future!
It's just so darn good. Meryl Streep also never fails to entertain. She is a-mazing.

So anyway, that was pretty much my little night in. Sadly enough I had an itch to arrange a last minute going out sesh but I did not. AND I'm happy enough with that decision. I promise! I won't regret it when I am able to wake up bright and early in the morning and do some much needed work!

(I cannot wait until this test is over and I have a social life again.)

Until then, AdiĆ³s lovelies!

What I've been up to.

Hey noodlepips!
Just to warn you, this will be quite a random post as I have nothing in particular to focus on. It's just been quite a while since my last one, so I thought I'd throw this in here :)
So where have I been? It's been a few days since my last blog post and basically revision has taken over my life. So I was revising nearly all week and any time that I had the chance. Luckily though, one of my two exams was today and it is done. Dusted. PHEW!
So there is just one more to go... meaning most likely another huge gap in my postings due to MORE revision (my life is so exciting right now...)
Today after school I thought I would treat myself to a little TLC by going into town and having a look around, maybe pick up some bits and bobs!
It wasn't really a full on shop, I was actually putting together a present for a friend as well as picking up some essentials that have ran out :(

Maybe I should pop a quick haul in here?
So I bought my friend's gift which was basically some vouchers, some makeup bits and pieces and chocolates. Then for myself, I picked up some Herbal Essences shampoos as my current bottle is nearing it's end - it was also buy one get one free (YAYAY)
Then  I thought I would try out Rimmel's lipstick (the purple tube... what's that type called? LOL) in vintage pink. I know I wanted to get Models Own nail polish in vintage pink but the shop I was in didn't have the models own nail polishes. So I thought hey, lets buy a lipstick instead (that makes no sense at all now does it?)
What else, what else... I actually think that was it. You know the way you think you bought so much more than you have? This is like that. Haha!

What else have I been doing with my life recently... This week has been so long but so short and bleeh.
Honestly, I think if I go on anymore I will bore the absolute carrots out of you. So for that reason I'll just leave now...

Byeeee & loves!

Unemployed blues.

Hello lovelies,
So I have been thinking about my lack of employment. I am 16 years old and have never had working experience... never been employed, zero, nothing. WELL, unless you call babysitting a job? I've been "employed" by my neighbour then :)
Anyway, I'm a little confused and, well, I don't want to give up but I think my current "plan" ain't working!
I have handed in 3 CVs. Three...... now, I haven't got any feed back at all from any one of the places I handed it in.
IS THIS NORMAL? What is going on? Is my CV really bad...? Because honestly, it better not be. I have no idea how to change it. It took me long enough to write the darn thing!
Oh dear.
*sigh*

On the foundation hunt...... again!

Hey everyone!
I thought I would do a post on my recent dilemma, that is foundation. Foundation has always been a bother for me and I think it's because I am looking for so much in a foundation! My preference is definitely liquid so that's kind of the main one I'd be on the hunt for! So I will try and break this down good and clear so you can follow it easily and also (I hope) so you can maybe advise me on a foundation that will suit what I'm looking for! I would love to hear your opinions on any mentioned too.

I need:
- Full coverage: an absolute MUST. I am spotty and I just want a good layer to be put on that will cover everything
- Mattifying/will not go too shiny through out the day: I am sadly blessed with oily skin and so I need a foundation that will dry quite matte and will stay that way through out the day (it's okay if it goes a little dewy, that's what powder is for!)
- Colour range: Yellow undertones please! I am kind of tan... not entirely but I am prone to get a bit of colour on holidays etc. No pink undertones for me! For an idea - I use Rimmel Lasting finish in the colour 200 Soft beige and it's pretty much the perfect colour
- Stays put! Rubbing on clothes, I've come to realise, cannot really be avoided let's face it. Although I did have a mousse foundation from No7 and it was literally the worst for rubbing off on clothes. I would basically poke my face and a huge layer of the foundation was sitting on my finger, very nasty indeed!
- Looks and feels natural: when applied, it would be lovely to be looking at a nice smooth surface. I realise that I will always look as if I'm wearing foundation - you can't really avoid this with full coverage, it is quite clearly sitting on the face! However, not majorly cakey because that's nasty :(
- ££££ : From the high street would be much preferred. The highest I have paid for a foundation (I think) was roughly around £12-£13. I am really not willing to pay over £15 and yes, I am very fussy when it comes to pricing! haha

So that is it, that is my wish list and I would love to get all of those factors crammed into one little bottle of magic! I will give you a little list of some I have tried and some I hope to try:

TRIED:

1. Rimmel Lasting Finish 16 hour:
My favourite, the one I am using currently. Then why are you on the hunt you ask? Because I know in my heart that this foundation is missing some of my magic wish list, that's why! I feel I can do better than this but haven't got it yet *sniff sniff*

2. Rimmel Match Perfection foundation:
Bought quickly in the airport before holidays as I thought I would run out of my Lasting Finish. Bought in the same colour - 200 soft beige - eeeeek. Didn't look the same at all! Very orangey and very light coverage and very very shiny! Although it is a good foundation for summer when I have more tan and don't need lots of coverage. Also good for nights out as I am wearing fake tan and am prepared to layer on lots of foundation!

3. No7 Intelligent balancing mousse
A good coverage foundation! Very easy to apply and looks quite flawless and very matte. HOWEVER, (there's always a however...) it comes right off so easily. Doesn't last all day no WAY. If I touch my face its all over my hand. This stuff goes everywhere!

4. Revlon Colorstay Oil/combination skin
My hopes were fully in this foundation. I heard so much raving about it; that it was the best, amazing, nothing like it. Meh. It stinks for a start, almost like paint. Nothing mentioned about minerals etc. So I basically feel like I'm putting paint on my face. Good(ish) coverage, definitely not as good as I expected. Easy enough to blend but dries very quickly so you can't add a little more in problem areas. The colour I chose had pink undertones and when it dried I looked very strange in colour (disappointing). Also, this foundation broke my skin out more!

FOUNDATIONS I WOULD LIKE TO TRY:

1. Rimmel Stay Matte foundation
2. Max Factor Xperience foundation
3. Maybelline 24 hour foundation

Phew, that was a very long post and a very long rant and a lot of pictures! Thank you so much if you took the time to pass by, please come again :)

First day back! (uuuugh)

Hi sweetpeas!
So today was my first day back to school since Christmas. We were meant to get off for Christmas holidays around the 23rd or so but due to some really heavy snow and slippy slippy roads, we got off much earlier! So yeah, basically I haven't been to school in a very very VERY long time! It felt like summer holidays or something!
When Christmas was fresh in the mind, it was brilliant :) Waiting for Christmas, it coming! The food, the sitting around in warm cosy pyjamas while the snow was like... knee deep! NO JOKE HERE! KNEE DEEP! :)
Then New Year came (Booooo *sniff sniff*) and when that was done I guess reality kicked in a notch, sadly. There was nothing to wait for anymore. Santa had come and so had the new year celebrations... now what am I waiting for to celebrate? Nothing! Partying over :(
So lazy me, as much as I'd miss her, had to go and the books had to be whipped back out. Then the dreaded first day back arrived - which I will add, was on a Friday?!?! I'm sorry... but what is the point in starting on a Friday? You might as well make us start on Monday like... COME ON!?

ANYWAY. So I went to school and seen my chummies which was wonderful as I hadn't seen one of them at all over Christmas! Although another one of my friends was off with the flu (Get well soon!)
It being a Friday, I thought it would be an easy enough day you know, talking in some classes discussing Christmas whatever. NO. Straight into work, eugh. Madness.

Of course too, about 20 reminders that we do in fact have tests next week... very important tests... *sigh*
THE STRESS. I miss Christmas very much so. I miss having a good lie around, although it was getting pretty mental... I needed out of the house to be fair!

This has been such a long post and you may not even bother reading it! Just to throw down the weight on my shoulders right now haha!

I hope you enjoy your first day back to where ever you all go - school, work, university! :)

Toodle-oooo!

Vaseline... in a tube?!

Hey everyone!
How are you all doing? I've had a pretty intense day today, work was finally done! For anyone who doesn't understand, by work, I mean revision! I DID SOME. So proud of myself!
So I was reading, writing notes etc etc etc learning etc etc etc
when I opened my drawer to get my good old Vaseline, when I remembered hey, I bought the one in the tube a few weeks ago!
The excitement of putting this stuff on never leaves. Honestly. I mean, it's Vaseline in a tube!! It smells just like Vaseline... it says the legendary "Vaseline" on it, simple and classic :')
HOWEVER, it is not really like Vaseline at all. It does nourish the lips making them soft and smooth, but it isn't like a gel or jelly the way Vaseline it. It is almost white in colour, resembling an every day chap stick!

(they are so beautiful and exciting looking! I have the green one - Aloe Vera!)

So yes, overall I really do enjoy these little sticks of fun. They do smooth out my lips wonderfully and I especially love to use them before applying lipstick or any lip colour because the usual Vaseline, I feel, would make the surface of my lips too slippery and shiny for a good application of lip stick afterwards!
The down side of these - don't apply too much at once, especially if your lips are verrrry dry. I have noticed sometimes it doesn't soak in too well on a very chapped lip day... so you just end up with this white balm stuck onto random corners of the mouth - eeeek

Anyways, enjoy the rest of your evenings :)
thanks for reading!

Brown powder?

Hey everyone!
So today has been a bit of a lazy day for me! I've been sitting about the house as usual, half asleep!
Really need to get an early night tonight because I am just way too tired! ROUTINE IS NEEDED!
So anyway, today I did manage to slither out of my pyjamas and stick on some kind of tracksuit - comfy wear, mmmm.
My hair was looking a tad greasy, as usual. It is always greasy folks, I must have the oiliest head on the planet it's crazy! So I sprayed some Batiste dry shampoo on there and gave it a good scrub, brushing through with my "natural bristle brush", as it says on the can.
I do love Batiste, its the only dry shampoo I really use and trust, but seriously this white hair business is starting to get me down! IT LOOKS LIKE SNOW. Or I'm turning grey or something.
Also, it makes some places look rather dull :(
SOOOOO.... I came across Batiste for brown hair online. How strange would that be? What if the brown is the wrong shade of brown?! Then I'll just have random patches of this weird burgundy brown on my head!
Anyways, I would like to try it. Have any of you? :)

I'm TIRED, but I thought I would pop on quick for an update :)
So Happy New Year everyone! Hope you all had as great a night as I had!

I have yet to make resolutions... hmmmm what to doooo!
Anyway, enjoy and night nighty!
