Isn't it another lovely sunny day today? It's great, although, it is really hard to get down and do some long revision when it's so lovely outside, so today has been yet another failure at getting my books out (WELL, not fully, I did manage to write some History notes :D)
anyway, the intention of this post is to tell you all about my latest shampoo switch. I just realised that in any of my posts, I never mention the shampoo I use! Even in my favourites or current obsessions - of course it should be in there! Silly me.
Anyway, I'll start by telling you all my hair type and what goes on with my hair (you will be so interested.........ha)
- It's very oily, so gets greasy very quickly
- I've always said it's shoulder length, but it has grown a lot recently after getting my bob 2 years ago (I've been growing it out since then!) So actually it almost covers my chest but has lots of short layers
- I kind of hate my short layers now. They were great to begin with, now they're just annoying...
- I've also got a full fringe which I've trimmed recently - I was meant to be growing it out too, but fancied cutting it for one day haha
- My hair is very brittle at the moment; even when I brush it I seem to be pulling out hair. I have a lot of dead ends!
- aaaand it's a mousy brown colour - never been dyed.
Now I will show you my shampoo I have used for so long now - it is definitely my "go-to" shampoo:
It is the Herbal essences Fresh Balance shampoo for normal/oily hair. This shampoo is pretty great I have to say! What I love about it compared to the other amazing Herbal essences shampoos, is it's FRESH smell, rather than over powering fruit smell; it really just makes your hair feel and smell WASHED and CLEAN :) I haven't tried the conditioner actually, maybe I'll give it a go :)
So recently I was in Tescos and needed more shampoo as this one was running low. They didn't have this shampoo (tear tear :'( ) So I had to buy an alternative - hence my shampoo switch!
Soooooo, I bought:
(the shampoo is the one on the right) This is Alberto Balsam's Juicy green apple shampoo for normal/greasy hair. THIS SHAMPOO SMELLS AMAZING. I just want to eat it, or drink it. or SOMETHING! It smells so lovely and juicy appley. I just used it, and it has made my hair smell beautiful and feel very soft and clean. The roots looks very fresh and light and, well, clean!
I think it's a great shampoo so far and I'm so pleased with it! (I've only used it once!) It was £1 compared to Herbal Essences which is around £3 - perfect for those days where I need more shampoo and don't want to spend too much.
This shampoo says on the back, something along the lines of: "it uses the same ingredients as expensive shampoos but at a more affordable price"
Which I think just sums it up wonderfully :)
If any of you have tried any other shampoos from the Alberto Balsam range, or any other shampoos suitable for oily hair, I'd love to hear about it :)
Thanks for reading!
Ciao
